LifeLine Animal Project
Community involvement will always be an important cause for D. Geller & Son, and we are always looking for ways to give back to our community. After their rescue dog, Kylie, passed away in early 2019, the Geller family started looking for a new fur baby to adopt and bring into their lives. It was love at first sight when Mr. Geller came across a biography from the LifeLine Animal Project. The bio featured a black lab with white-tipped paws and the kindest eyes. Flash forward a couple of weeks later and that same dog had become an official member of the Geller family and was affectionately named “Ellie.” The LifeLine Animal Project instantly became a cause that the entire D. Geller & Son family rallied behind to help raise funds for other dogs like Ellie.
LifeLine was founded in 2002 as a non-profit organization in the metro Atlanta area. This organization is working to end euthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats. The team focuses on animals that have fallen victim to neglect or abuse. Over the last 18 years, LifeLine has been able to offer affordable, proactive wellness care to prevent many animals from being surrendered or abandoned. The organization is enriching the community by bringing people and pets together.
To support the mission of LifeLine, the D. Geller & Son team members participated in a fundraising opportunity called “Dogs and Denim.” On Friday’s donating money allowed employees to wear blue jeans and bring their furry friends into work, too! Throughout 2019, D. Geller & Son raised $2,000.00 on behalf of the LifeLine Animal Project and presented the organization with a large check donation in January of 2020.
