And Dan trained with the biggest of the big in the industry, including Harry Winston and his right-hand man, Julius Cohen. Their lives were 110% diamond and jewelry industry. All of Dan's siblings enter the industry including diamond setters and diamond cutters.

Dan came to Atlanta, and began doing work for jewelers in the area, his wife came down soon after and handled the books, pick-up, and delivery of repairs, special orders and manufactured merchandise.

During this time, D. Geller grew into the first and largest catalogue showroom in the Southeast - selling to the trade and the public.

By 1960, Mike Geller was a 7-year-old jeweler’s apprentice at D. Geller. He was a full-time employee by the age of 14. At 16, Mike was in charge of the entire manufacturing department, producing jewelry for independent stores all over the Southeast.

Mike asked for a raise in 1974, and Dan instead added “& Son” to the company’s name.

One year later, Dan Geller passed, and Mike took over the business at the age of 23. Over the next decade, Mike would transition from a wholesale operation to a full retail store, moving away from downtown and onto Cobb Parkway.

Mike’s son, Jonathan, followed in his footsteps, spending much of his childhood in the busy Cobb Parkway store in the 90’s. He polished his first rings in elementary school, learned to set diamonds in middle school, and apprenticed as a jeweler throughout high school.
