For the fifth year, D. Geller & Son is proud to be part of Rescuing Hope’s mission to support and protect our communities. Rescuing Hope is a Cobb County-based nonprofit dedicated to educating the public, protecting potential victims, and supporting survivors of sex trafficking.
For the 2026 Evening of Hope Gala, D. Geller & Son custom-designed a one-of-a-kind key pendant to be auctioned, with all proceeds benefiting Rescuing Hope’s survivor fund. Designed by Jonathan Geller, 3rd generation President of D. Geller & Son Jewelers, the pendant was created exclusively for Rescuing Hope and this special event.
Inspired by the theme “Be The Key,” the pendant carries a powerful message of hope, transformation, and rebirth. Wrapped around the blade of the key is a shape resembling a cocoon, representing the stage of life survivors may experience before receiving the help and support they need. Intricately engraved into the bow of the key is a butterfly, seemingly breaking free from the cocoon it was once trapped inside. The butterfly symbolizes rebirth and the survivor discovering their true identity in a safe environment, surrounded by the right community and encouraged to keep moving forward. Crafted from sterling silver with an antique finish, the pendant features intricate detailing and a London Blue Topaz in a bezel setting at its center. The word “Hope” is carefully inscribed on the back, serving as a reminder of the new life, identity, and possibilities that can come through support, safety, and community.
The beauty of community is often found in the darkest parts of the cocoon. It is a reminder that even in the hardest seasons, there can be people willing to reach in, unlock what feels impossible to escape, and help someone find their way forward. There is so much we can learn from sex trafficking survivors and from the Rescuing Hope team, whose courage and dedication remind us of the strength it takes to begin again. The butterfly on this pendant represents more than simply breaking free. It represents becoming. It represents the courage to discover who you are beyond what has happened to you and the freedom that comes from being seen, valued, and given the opportunity to grow.
We are honored to continue supporting Rescuing Hope for another year and to contribute a piece that tells a story so much bigger than the pendant itself. We hope that when someone sees this key, they are reminded that there is always a reason to keep going, and that sometimes, the people who help us find our way are the ones who make all the difference.
